Hugs

Hello.
Today I am sharing a colourful floral card created with a load of different Simon Says Stamp products.
Hugs by Lucy Abrams
To make this card, I first designed some patterned paper. I used Simon's Artful Flowers stamps, first stamping the solid images in Teeny BikiniMelon, and Duckling inks, then stamping on top but slightly offset with black ink. I trimmed the panel down, then added stitching to the edges, flicked it with Wink of Stella, and adhered it to a square notecard. Next, I die cut a heart from the Heart Duet die set and stitched down the centre. I adhered this to the card with foam tape, adding some thread behind for extra texture. I die cut the Painted Hugs from black card, then covered it with Wink of Stella glitter before adhering to the heart. Finally, I embellished with sequins from my Pink Lemonade Shaker Selection

Lots of lovely Spring colour...
Have a lovely day.

Thank You Card Set - Hero Arts Summer Release Blog Hop

Hello.
Today I am part of a big blog hop with Hero Arts celebrating the release of the Summer Catalog products in the Hero Arts store.
For the hop, I have created a set of 4 matching Thank You cards, featuring the new Paper Layering Daisy die set
Kindness Card Set by Lucy Abrams
First, I die cut the daisy from different colours of cardstock. Then, I flicked them with different types of shiny mist, including Wink of Stella. I created a pool of Multi Matt Medium in the centre of each flower, then sprinkled on sequins from four of my Sparkly Shaker Selections (Pineapple Ice, Purely Peppermint, Pink Lemonade and Ocean) Finally, I added dots of Star Dust Stickles and Glossy Accents. While the flowers dried, I stamped the sentiment from Acts of Kindness on white panels, added stitching and adhered to coordinating folded cards.

So much sparkle and shine on these cards.

I love the way these Paper Layering dies create focal points that literally pop off the card.

Hedgehog Baby

Hello!
Today I have this new baby card on the Hero Arts blog. It features the oh so cute Hedgehog Paper Layering Die... I just love it.
Hedgehog Baby by Lucy Abrams
To make my card, I first die cut the hedgehog from watercolour paper, then coloured loosely with my Gansai Tambi paints. I adhered my hedgehog to a patterned paper panel, adding a sentiment from Little One, and stitching around the edges.
