My Sweet Little Monster

Hello!
I'm here today to share the last of my cards created with Simon Says Stamp's January Card Kit. Having said that, I have a load of papers and goodies left to play with - these kits are awesome value.
Anyway - today's card is for any sweet little girl monster.  ;)
Simple stamping, stitching and paper piecing on this one. I created a custom sentiment with the fabulous Basic Alphabet from Clearly Besotted.

And that's it.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I created with this fabulous kit. A highly recommended product. :)
Have a very happy new year.

Stitched with Love

Me again - with another card created with the awesome January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.
Today I created a card with some pretty patterned paper and a stamp from the kit. I added lots of stitching to the background paper, aiming for a quilter effect… I also added stitching to the silk ribbon on my tag to help tie in with the sentiment.

I die cut a little heart from the edge of my tag, then added some faux stitching with a black pen to mirror the style of the sentiment. This was fun. :)

Oh I do so love my sewing machine. :)
One more card to share tomorrow - I'll see you then.

Lots of Eyes

Hello!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We certainly did.
OK - so today's Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit card is a silly one…
As soon as I saw this sentiment in the stamp set, I knew I had to make this card… but BOY did it take a long time. :)
Still, I think this works as a masculine Valentine's card - simple, silly and fun.

I used the new Hearts and Spoons die to cut my heart, then adhered all my wiggle eyes to white card stock using tiny Glue Dots. What a process. :)

This card makes me chuckle. :)
Have a fabulous day, more to share soon.

Valentine's Tickets

Hello and welcome to my 3rd post sharing my cards created with Simon Says Stamp's January Card Kit.
I tried to make a masculine Valentine card with the tickets in the kit, but think really this is more girly than masculine… either way, these tickets are just TOO CUTE! I stitched three tickets together, then added some twine and adhered them to some woodgrain paper from the paper pad. I added a tiny sentiment from the Valentine Spoons stamp set.

I adhered my tags to the card with a mix of foam adhesive and double sided tape so each ticket bends upwards. It adds some dimension and makes them look like they are popping off the card.

Such cute tickets. :) Especially that 'Free Hugs' one…
I'll be back soon with my next card. Until then, I wish you a very happy Christmas!!! It's getting very festive round here. We're all ready for the big day - all the food I can prepare in advance is done, all the gifts are wrapped… Lily's going to have a wonderful day (unless there happens to be a Christmas Day baby… but I'm pretty confident that's not going to happen.) (uh oh… famous last words and all that!)
Take care, all the best, and bye.

Love you...

Hello. I am back with my second Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit card. And for today's card, I tried to create a non-Valentine's card. I thought this card might suit my mum as a 'just because' card.
Love the patterned papers in the kit, and here I just combined them with a sweet and simple sentiment from the stamp set. I added lots of stitching and a few buttons to make the sentiment make sense. :)

I used the Wrapped Mailing Label die for my sentiment label.

Such a simple card… I just loooooove pink!!
Have a happy day, back tomorrow.

I Only...

Hey! And happy weekend.
I received my Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit yesterday, and got going with it straight away. It's GORGEOUS - maybe my favourite kit ever. I made 6 cards, so thought I'd share them over the next week and hopefully inspire those of you who subscribe to the kit to have some fun, and those of you who don't to buy it. :) It's such an awesome one!
Anyway… today's card features the cute monster stamp from the kit. LOVE it. I stamped my monsters on the Cotton Candy and Steel Gray cardstock from the kit, then sprayed them with Mister Huey's Calico Shine. I stamped them again on white card so I could paper piece their little mouths. And then I had to add some wiggle eyes. Of course!! The sentiment is also from the cool stamp set. So adorable.

I misted the card base too for extra shimmer. I thought maybe it looked like starry skies for my little alien dudes. :)

What a fun Valentine for a guy. I know my husband loves any card with wiggle eyes. :)
Anyway… in other news, I became an Aunty on Friday. Yay! My lovely sister gave birth to her first baby, a little boy called Leo. And he is GORGEOUS. We had a running joke about who was going to deliver first, and she won! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a delivery like hers… a 5 hour labour! Pretty good!!!
Bye for now, back tomorrow with my next card.
