Season's Greetings

Hi. It's my day on the Hero Arts blog today, and I have a simple die cut card to share. I used the negative of a die from the Ornaments stamp and die set, and behind it, stamped the new Looped Flower Pattern to which I added some yummy heart pearls.

I'm going to be taking a bit of a blog break now... it's family time for the next week or so. I will pop in at some point before the new year. :)
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Christmas and holiday period.
Bye for now.

2013 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop

(This is my 2nd post for today - please scroll down or click HERE to see my very exciting news!!!)

Hello, and welcome to the 2013 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop. I hope you had a great time at the incredible Maile Belles blog!
I am so excited today is finally here... I've been looking forward to sharing the new stamps with you for AGES and I am sure you will be as thrilled as me by what you see. So many new goodies to choose from... eeek!!!
Anyway... if you have stumbled upon this hop, I urge you to start from the beginning (HERE). Otherwise, on to my cards. :)
My first card features the new Fantastic Birthday clear set. Believe me, you're going to LOVE this set. I certainly do. I can see myself using every single stamp in this set FREQUENTLY. All the papers on this card are from Echo Park's Neapolitan collection pack which I thought was very appropriate given the ice cream theme. :)  I added the wiggle eyes and little smile to my ice-cream, plus a bit of button twine. I love paper piecing. :)

And my second card features a cute stamp from a new set called My Favorite. I love this stamp - that sweet washi tape on top is adorable don't you think. Again, I used the Neapolitan papers and some yellow Doodle twine to finish off my card. A simple but fun one I think.

So, some colorful creations for today, right? :) Check out ALL the new stamps HERE.
Great news - Hero Arts is giving away several prize packages to random commenters chosen from ALL the blogs featured today. Leave comments at all the blogs you visit and your chances of winning will be much higher. :)
So, it's time to hop on and visit the fabulous and extremely talented Sandy Allnock. Have a great time!!
P.S. Remember, if you find a broken link as you hop, you can always head back to the Hero Arts blog to get a full list of all the bloggers.

Merry, Merry, Merry!

Here are a couple of digi cards I made using Hero Arts new digikits.
First up, a card made with the Merry Background kit. First, I created a background by layering some snowflakes from THIS kit over polka dot paper from THIS kit. I then added the Merry stamp on top. Some seam binding and THIS fabulous stick pin finished it off, along with some silver stitching.

And next, a card made with the Merry Lights kit. For this one, I layered the Merry Lights stamp over the Merry Background stamp (it comes in both solid form like this, and black outline as in the card above). I printed the lights again on white, cut out the bulbs, added glitter and paper pieced. Some white seam binding and pins tied the card together.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Christmastravaganza

Hello. Just wanted to pop in and share a card I created for A Blog Named Hero's Christmastravaganza.
The card features a die from Hero Arts Merry Christmas Tree stamp and die set, and LOADS of yummy bling and buttons. The sentiment is from THIS set, and I used patterned paper from Studio Calico's Wonderland pad.
