Kiss Kiss

Hello!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We certainly did.
We're home again now after our Christmas travels, and as we are starting to get back to our normal routine I thought I'd pop in to share this card I created recently with some Doodlebug Christmas papers and stickers. I decided to make something non-Christmassey with them, and went for this simple lovey-dovey card, adding a sentiment from Mama Elephant's Pandamonium stamp set. Kiss Kiss by Lucy Abrams
I added wiggle eyes and some loops of white and silver thread for a bit of texture.

And finally, just to say that I'll be drawing the winners of my Valentine's giveaway tomorrow so you only have one more day to enter. Just leave a comment on THIS post and you'll be included.
Right, off to eat more chocolate. It needs finishing, right? ;)
Bye for now.

Winter Thank You Card Set and a GIVEAWAY!

Hello!
Today I am on the Hero Arts blog.  I created this quick and easy winter thank you card set with their Snowflake die, a heart from THIS die set, and a sentiment from THIS stamp set. Don't you think that these shades of pool, wet cement and punch go well...

I sprayed the coloured panels with white spray mist, and added some thread loops too. They are totally flat cards which is great for post Christmas mail. Cheaper to send . :)

I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger's Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. It is yummy.

Sending Love & Hugs

Hi again, and happy Friday! Woo hoo.
Today I have a final card to you for my Simon Says Stamp Better Together celebration week. That's not to say I've finished with these products… oh no. I am just getting started…
My card features the Super Heart Border die. (You can see another card I created with this die HERE in case you missed it earlier this week).
I added a sentiment die cut with THIS die, and stamped with a stamp from THIS set. The pink ombre patterned paper is from THIS pad

So, another use for this die that is not just a border. Yay!

Have a great weekend. I'll be popping in briefly next week before taking a Christmas break.
Hope to see you then.
Bye for now.

New Home

Hi.
Today I am continuing with my Simon Says Stamp Better Together celebration week. I had a request for the Make a Home stamp set, asking to create a new home card from it. I created a very simple paper pieced card using papers from Amy Tangerine's Stitched pad, and adding a sentiment from Clearly Besotted's Sentimental Type set.

Lots of Calico Shine splatters add some interest to the background.

This set is perfect for new home cards. I can't wait to try some more with it.
Back again soon. More to share…

Sketch Hearts

Hello!
Today I have a pair of cards for you featuring Simon Says Stamp's new Sketch Heart die. This die has a fun almost grungy look, but I was determined to create a pretty feminine card with it. So I made one of each - a more grungy masculine card, and a girly card. Both feature papers from Amy Tangerine's Stitched 6 x 6 pad and one of the cool new Large Tag dies (I am going to be using these tags a LOT…).
So first, the girly version. :)
For this card, I thought it would be fun to play on the 'You Complete Me' sentiment (from this new set) by paper piecing the heart together with two different papers.

I used two different sizes of Stitched Rectangle dies too - another die set that's going to be inconstant use!

And now my masculine version…
I did some inlaid die cutting here, adding a sentiment from Clearly Besotted's fabulous new Sentimental Type stamp set.

Some tiny staples add to the grungy feel.

So, two very different cards using virtually the same supplies. This was fun. :)
Back soon with more cards featuring these awesome new products.
Bye for now.
