My Heart...

Hello.

Today I have a card made with Hero Arts new Seashells digikit. For this card, I layered three of the shells over some paper from the Pool Patterned Papers digikit, altered the images to white, then printed. This gives the effect of white embossing and is so soft and pretty. I used a heart die from Hero Arts Cupcake Frame Cuts set (this is my favourite ever heart shape... just perfect!) then stitched the hearts to the plain white side of a Lily Bee journaling card and stamped a sentiment from THIS set in Soft Pool Shadow ink. The woodgrain paper is from THIS pad.

Straight Lines

Hello. Today I have another card made using Hero Arts new Butterfly Bouquet digikit. For this card, I used a single image from the kit, printed it onto 5 different coloured papers then again on kraft so I didn't have to cut out the antennae.  The lovely striped paper is from THIS Bazzill pad, and the sweet sentiment are from THIS set which I just rediscovered. Love finding and using old stamps again...

I am a big fan of straight lines... there's something very satisfying about them. :)

Butterfly Hello

I'm always happy when Hero Arts release new digikits, and I am especially happy when they are butterfly themed. So today's new kit, Butterfly Bouquet, makes me smile a LOT. :)

The kit is fab - it offers the lovely multiple butterfly image as a single stamp (as I used on today's card), and also offers all the butterflies as individual stamps. Yay.

For this card, I simply layered the black version of the stamp over some gorgeous digi paper from THIS KI Memories digikit, printed onto white cardstock, then stitched it to some yummy paper from THIS pad.  The sentiment is from THIS new Hero Arts stamp set.

Another card to share with this awesome kit very soon.

Lovely Friend

Hello. I have a card to share today that I threw together with some bits left from a previous failed project. :) Do you have many failure projects?? Sometimes an idea seems so great, but doesn't work out so well... this is why I sketch. :)

The cute paper is from paper from THIS range, and the stickers are Lily Bee. I added gorgeous Ribbon Girls pins and seam binding. Oh, and that cute scallop and dot paper at the top and bottom is cut from THIS 12 x 12 sheet.

Well, I've had a very good day - my baby FINALLY giggled today - a real giggle. It's taken a LONG time to get her to laugh even though she smiles all the time. But it was worth the wait. And on my husband's birthday too. :)  And she's ALMOST crawling - dragging herself across the room in a comedy style. :)

Anyway - I'm off on vacation tomorrow. Yay. I have some posts scheduled so you won't even know I'm gone.

Miss You

Hello everyone - and happy 4th July to my lovely American friends. I hope you are having a great holiday.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently - I've been rather busy, and Lily has decided sleep is no longer her friend. Oh dear! :) Still, we'll get back into our routine soon, I am sure.

Anyway - I have a CAS card to share today - just some simple stamping, patterned paper, punching, hand cutting and stitching. :)  All the papers are from Studio Calico's Autumn Press 6 x 6 pad (on sale HERE.)

Sending You Love

Hi, it's time for a new Ribbon Girl challenge. And this month, the challenge is to make a girly card. Not too hard for me... let's be honest, almost ALL my cards are girly ;)

So here's what I came up with. I've had these yummy Prima Wooden Buttons for a while... kinda been hoarding them cos they are just sooo pretty. But I knew it was time to use them up. I used the reverse of the buttons for this card. The button card is from Echo Park's This and That Graceful collection, and the papers are from MME's Howdy Doody and Rosy lines.  I used a sweet Hero Arts sentiment from the Sending You Love set (on sale HERE), and cream seam binding and button twine to embellish. I enjoyed putting this together.
