Celebratory Balloons

Hi!
Today I have a pair of shaker cards for you featuring Simon Says Stamp's Balloons dies
A few weeks or so ago, I saw THIS gorgeous card by Shari Carroll, and it reminded to dig these awesome balloon dies out of my stash. They are such useful dies… So I decided to create a shaker card using stamps from Simon's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set, Echo Park and Lawn Fawn papers, and lots of sequins and beads.

I also added some Sparkle Cord for extra dimension and texture.

And because I could not let that lovely polka dot balloon go to waste, I created a second card. This time, I created my shaker window by die cutting the word 'Congrats' from the balloon die cut (using Hero Arts' Congrats Stamp and Cut set). It's only a small window, but I filled it with Pretty Pink Posh silver confetti and some silver sequins and it gives lots of extra sparkle.

I added some Moonshine sequins to my balloon, and more Sparkle Cord too. Love this stuff.

I always feel like I got a free card when I make a second with a scrap from the first. I NEARLY made a third card with the die cut 'Congrats' from my second card… but I ran out of time. :) Now that really would have been a bonus!!
Thanks so much for visiting today. Have a great day.

Two fabulous cards Lucy. I've enjoyed using your sequin shaker selections to make shaker cards over the last few days. x

I always love your cards, Lucy. Today's cards are exceptionally appealing. Shaker. Birthday. Balloons. They all home together to say HAPPY. I enjoyed how you used extras from one card to make another. Well done!

Love these dies myself...very versatile. Appears you really know how to use them, too. Adorable shakers.
