Ombre Card Set

So it seems Ombre is on trend right now - I keep seeing the word cropping up in the crafting world. And I must confess, until about 2 months ago I didn't even know what it meant. :) Well, now I do, and just to make sure I never forget, Hero Arts released a new digikit today, simply called Ombre Papers. :)
I created a quick and simple card set with the kit. I took 4 colours of the paper, then layered the stamp from THIS kit on top. I altered the stamp to white (by changing the brightness to 100%) so that when printed on white cardstock, it looks like white stamping on coloured paper.  The sentiments are from THIS cute set, an oldie but a goodie. :)

Love this kit - the colours are really pretty and are perfect for a card set. :)
Have a great day, more to share soon.
Bye for now.
P.S. I've just added this card set plus my Paper Doll cards to my Folksy shop. Click on the links below to be taken to the shop.

I feel out of the loop asking, but what does ombre mean?

These are so stunning! You always have a way of making things look so easy, but so flawlessly lovely. These'd make the nicest gift.

I'm out of the loop too because I have no idea what ombre means in the card world. Lovely cards though.

This is a fabulous set of cards Lucy. You're so talented with digital. Ditto Colleen's comment above re: Ombre. It's a new one on me.
