Baby Bear

Hello!
Today I have a card on the Hero Arts blog. It features some cute Lia Griffith Christmas animal stamps, but for a bit of a change, I decided to create a baby card instead of a holiday card.
I used two of the Winter Bears by Lia stamps, and added a third bear from the Animal Trio set. Don't they make a sweet little bear family?

I added my bears to some Pebbles patterned paper die cut with a Frame die, and stamped a fab sentiment from the Little One set. I rounded the corners of my notecard to match.Baby Bear 2 by Lucy Abrams

Have a great day.

Merry Kissmas

Hello, and a very happy Monday to you.
Today I have my final Clearly Besotted Stamps Teaser Time card to share with you!
And for my final card I am sneaking a peek at the Merry Kissmas stamp set and matching dies. To make my card, I first stamped and white embossed the lovely mistletoe on some recycled cardstock, then die cut with the matching die. I added some matt gold sequins and threads, then adhered it with foam tape to a die cut panel of matching card. The sentiment is also from the Merry Kissmas set.

Love the simplicity and style of this mistletoe stamp, and the fun matching sentiment too. :)

Well, that's all from me for this Teaser Time, but be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have made - they are awesome. You can find all the links on Stephanie's blog.
I will be back again soon… until then, have a fab day.

Birthday Penguin… and a bonus card!

Hi.
I hope you are having a great weekend.
Today I am sharing my third teaser card for Clearly Besotted Stamps. This cute penguin is from One More Sleep, a Christmas set with adorable images. Again, I decided to make a non Christmas card with it, and paired it with a sentiment from the new Fancy Sayings set. I created an ink smooshed background with my Gansai Tambi watercolours, then stamped the sentiment, added stitching and sequins from my Phosphorescence Shaker Selection, and my sweet watercoloured penguin. I added everything to a card created with some lovely Simon Says Stamp Mint cardstock.

I just love animal stamps - and this little dude is definitely not just for Christmas.

While I was making this card, my daughter came to join me. She loves my Gansai Tambi set, and I let have a play. She stamped some trees from the One More Sleep set, then watercoloured them so beautifully and carefully. Rainbows are her preferred design style. Always. :)

Once dry, she added her own choice of embellishments, then wanted to stitch round the edges. She also adores playing with my sewing machine, and as she is such a good and careful girl, I am happy to let her experiment with lots of supervision. :) I helped her turn the corners, and she operated the pedal. The finished card is all her own work. I just trimmed it down and mounted it onto a white card base. Not bad work for a 3 3/4 year old I think - significantly better than my card!  (I am such a proud Mummy.)
Lily's Christmas Card
Although she loves to send her cards out to friends and family, I'm not actually sure we'll be sending this one… it might just have to go in a frame. I don't think I can part with it. :)
OK, I'll be back tomorrow with one more sneak peek for you before the new sets go live!
Hope you can join me then.
Bye.

Layered Flower

Hello, and happy Saturday. Hooray for weekends. :)
Today I have my second Clearly Besotted Stamps teaser card to share with you. It features a gorgeous stamp from the Christmas Poinsettia set.
I love the graphic and symmetrical style of this flower - and decided to create a non Christmas card with it. I used some Echo Park papers in different shades to create a multi layered flower, adding some thread between two of the layers for texture and some pink seed beads to the top. The sentiment is from the new Fancy Sayings set - a new favourite for sure. :) I added everything to a die cut Stitched Oval, cut from some American Crafts bokeh effect paper.

It's been a while since I stamped on patterned paper… I love the look. :)

Wobbly Reindeer

Hi!
It's October (can you believe it…) And that means it's time for Clearly Besotted Stamps Teaser Time.
Today I am sharing a peek at a new set called Best Christmas. This is a very cute set, with adorable Christmas themed balloons, similar to the popular (and equally adorable) Best Birthday stamp set from a few months ago…
My card features the reindeer balloon. I created a line up of watercoloured reindeer, adding my Rudolph with a fun Action Wobble Spring. (If you have not seen these before, I've included a VERY short video below to illustrate how it works on the finished card.)

I gave my reindeer lovely shiny Glossy Accents noses.

And here's that Action Spring in action. :) This might just be Lily's favourite card EVER. :)
OK, that's it for today. But head over to Stephanie's blog and find links to the other DT projects.
I'll be back tomorrow with my second sneak.
Bye for now.
