Lovely Butterflies

Today I'm playing with a sweet butterfly stamp from the new Hero Arts 'Into the Forest' digikit.  I used patterned papers from Echo Park's Little Girl digikit and  a sweet sentiment from Hero Arts' Lots of Love digikit.

In this close-up, you can see that I used some black gems to create the butterflies' bodies.

Hope your Wednesday has been fun.
Time for me to put my feet up :)  It's been a long day... I just got home from work and made a huge veg and bean casserole. Yum!
See you tomorrow.

Birthday Roses

You know what Tuesday means... digikit release day at twopeas. And more yummy Hero Arts digikits. :)
This week, they've released 3 kits - Birds and Patterns, Into the Forest and Many Birds Tree.  My card today uses a beautiful image from the Birds and Patterns kit which combines the stamps from the Two Birds Cling set with lots of lovely backgrounds.  I used the beautiful rose stamp and the fab birthday text border (think I'll be using this a LOT!) then I added a sentiment combined from THIS kit and THIS kit.  I paper pieced using papers from the Echo Park Victoria Gardens digikit.

Hope you've had a good day.

Sending You Love

Hello, happy Monday.
Here's a card I made featuring a FAB digi stamp from Pink Petticoat called Quirky Qwerty.  I LOVE this company... their stamps are always just adorable.

I printed the image onto kraft card, doubled it up and cut it out to create the front and back of the card.  After scoring about an inch from the top of the back piece of card, I adhered the two together to create a top folding, shaped card.  It's about 5 x 5". :)
Haven't made a shaped card for ages... I recommend it. Such fun. :)
Back tomorrow - it's Hero Arts digi release day.

Happy W.C.M.D.

Hello and Happy World Card Making Day. :)
Sadly I am not feeling well enough to create anything at the moment... so instead, I thought I'd share a card inspired by my all time favourite artist, Jennifer McGuire.  If you didn't take her Inspiration Showcase class, you missed out, and I would thoroughly recommend signing up to take it now as read only (sign up HERE). And registration for her next class, Holiday Card Boot Camp, opens on 10th October.  I'll be first in line...
Anyway, I made this card using some of the many techniques she taught in the Inspiration Showcase class...

Trapped emboss resist is such a fun technique... but oh-so-messy :)
THIS stamp is perfect for this technique.  And the sentiment is from the Yummy Treats set, which is currently 25% off at twopeas!!!
And speaking of sale stamps... here are a few more of my fave Hero Arts products that are on sale at twopeas.  Some are 50% off!!

What an awesome sale.  I have some cards to share soon using those fabulous Papillons and the gorgeous Bird Collage.  And I've got cards using Baby Reindeer HERE, Sleepy Fox HERE, HERE and HERE, Layered Flowers HERE, Beautiful Peacocks HERE, Merry Christmas Trees HERE, and
Hope you have a wonderful day and make LOTS of fabulous cards.
Take care.
xx
