Hugs

Hello.
Today I am sharing a colourful floral card created with a load of different Simon Says Stamp products.
Hugs by Lucy Abrams
To make this card, I first designed some patterned paper. I used Simon's Artful Flowers stamps, first stamping the solid images in Teeny BikiniMelon, and Duckling inks, then stamping on top but slightly offset with black ink. I trimmed the panel down, then added stitching to the edges, flicked it with Wink of Stella, and adhered it to a square notecard. Next, I die cut a heart from the Heart Duet die set and stitched down the centre. I adhered this to the card with foam tape, adding some thread behind for extra texture. I die cut the Painted Hugs from black card, then covered it with Wink of Stella glitter before adhering to the heart. Finally, I embellished with sequins from my Pink Lemonade Shaker Selection

  9. Cute card ans easy, too! I really like your soft colors! I won't be using a sewing machine, so I'll either use just strands of string, ribbon, yarn or thread or dot with pen or my Nuvo drops. Thank you for sharing!

  11. OMG - - so loving this clean, simple but makes a BIG impression card! You did an amazing job creating the background. If I haven't read that you create it, I would have thought it was pre-made paper. FANTASTIC job!!!!

Thanks for the chance to win the mini-Misti.

  12. Wow what a super pretty, bright card. Like how the flowers are not completely colored and the sewn edges are such a great idea. Hope you feel better soon.

  13. Great square card Lucy. I really like how you've stamped the two different coloured flowers and then stamped over top of them offsetting the black ink. Really cool technique. Thanks for sharing.
