Thank You Sweetie

Hello!
I'm back with another card created with one of the lovely new Spring Plush dies from Simon Says Stamp. This time, I used the sweet Big Ear Bunny - but not quite in the way it was intended. :)

With a bit of trimming, I turned my bunny into a mouse. I added a tail created with a die in the Springtime Bunny set, gave him some whiskers and wiggle eyes, and added a sentiment from Simon's  How We Roll stamp set.

Another way to stretch your supplies. :)
Thanks for visiting - I hope you have a fun day.

Super Daughter

Hi!
I hope you had a good weekend.
Today I have a fun card for you featuring some Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp products. Super Daughter by Lucy Abrams
This new Happy Sunshine Plush die from Simon Says Stamp makes a very cute sun... but when I saw it, I wanted to create a shaped card with a superhero theme - I thought it looked like something from a comic strip. So I die cut it from Cotton Candy cardstock, then again from acetate. I stitched the acetate one on top of the Cotton Candy one using crochet thread, left an opening, and filled it with some of my Princess Shaker Selection. Next, I stamped the super bunny and sentiment from Clearly Besotted's Caped Cuties set on white card,  coloured with Copics and cut them out. I adhered them on top of the acetate.

Finally, I die cut another sunshine from white card, scored it at the side and adhered it behind the pink one. This creates a fun, shaped folded card. My daughter loves it. :)

I love thinking of ways of stretching my supplies. :)
Have a lovely Monday everyone.

Baby Bunny Shaped Card

Hello!
Well, things are pretty crazy here so I may be posting a little more infrequently until I'm all sorted! But today I wanted to pop in and share a card I created with one of the sweet new dies from Simon Says Stamp's Spring Plush collection. These dies are really designed to be used with felt, but I wanted to use them in different ways!
Here, I used the Plush Springtime Bunny to create this shaped baby card.

I die cut the bunny from Simon's Cotton Candy cardstock, then stamped it with Hero Arts Confetti background with Cotton Candy ink. I added the sentiment from Hero Arts Little One stamp set, then did a simple backstitch round the edges with some crochet thread. I die cut the button and ear from white felt for a bit of extra texture.

Finally, I die cut a second bunny, scored it near the top and adhered it to the back of the pink bunny. And voila, a simple, shaped card. :)

I've got more fun Spring Plush cards to come over the coming week. :)
But for now, bye bye!

Super Birthday

Hello and happy Saturday. I love weekends so much...
Today I have my final Clearly Besotted teaser card to share with you. It features stamps from the March release.
Today I have played with the very cute Caped Cuties set.
 Super Birthday by Lucy Abrams
I stamped the cute super-bunny and skyscrapers on white card and coloured with watercolours.  I hand cut them out and set them aside. I created the shaker window by die cutting a Stitched Rectangle from white card then stamping the sentiment from the Caped Cuties set beneath. I added acetate and foam tape, some of my Starry Nights Shaker Mix, and adhered to some black patterned paper. Finally, I adhered the bunny and skyscrapers on top of the acetate.

Thank You Fairy Much

Hello.
All this week, Little Things from Lucy's Cards has been collaborating with Lawn Fawn, and the Lawn Fawn DT have created some truly wonderful cards. If you've missed any, head to the Lawn Fawn blog for amazing inspiration.
Today I have created a fun, fairy shaker card using the gorgeous Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends set...
Thank You Fairy Much Shaker by Lucy Abrams
To create the card, I first die cut a circle from aqua patterned paper, then cut a Stitched Circle Frame from white card. I backed the frame with acetate, then secured foam tape around the edge. I stamped the sentiment from Fairy Friends onto the aqua circle, then added a pile of my Starry Nights Confetti Mix before adhering the white frame on top.
Next, I stamped the fairies and fairy house on some white paper and coloured softly with watercolours. I added them on top of my shaker frame, then adhered the frame to a square card covered in pretty heart paper (but I can't remember what pad this is from... whoops). :)

Make sure you head over to Lawn Fawn now and see what the DT have created. It's been such an exciting week, and I would like to thank Kelly Marie and her incredible team for this super fun collaboration. It's been a blast!
Have a wonderful Friday.
