Baby Deer

Hello!

Have you seen the February Simon Says Stamp Card Kit yet... it looks so pretty, I cannot wait to play. Unfortunately, it's not yet reached me... so this week I thought I'd create a couple of cards using some bits and pieces from previous kits. I keep my kit contents together for quite a while... so it's easy to grab some coordinated items and create something quick and easy if I need to. Although the kits I am using are out of stock, many of the separate products are not. :)

Today's card combines an adorable baby deer die cut from The Holly Jolly Christmas kit, with lovely My Mind's Eye papers and journaling cards from the October 2015 kit. I added the die cut 'girl' from Simon's Birthday Frame die, and a stamped sentiment from Happy.

I finished off the card with a sprinkling of tiny flat sequins.

P.S. I finally took the plunge and bought this HUGE roll of foam tape. I cannot believe I waited so long... it's tearable, easy to peel and massive!! Much better value than the usual small rolls I buy. A great investment for sure.

Shaker Balloons

Hello. 

Today I have a trio of shaker cards to share, created with lots of Simon Says Stamp goodies, and a selection of my Shaker Selections. Shaker cards make great birthday cards - they are fun, noisy and definitely celebratory!

To make each card, I first die cut two large Balloons from white card, one from acetate and one from Lawn Fawn's Let's Polka Mon Amie patterned paper. I adhered the patterned paper balloon to one of the white balloons, then stitched the acetate balloon on top, leaving an opening. I filled with sequins - for these ones I used Ruby Grapefruit, Purely Peppermint, and my newest colour Princess (on its way to Simon Says Stamp as I type) - then stitched up the top. I die cut the Painted Happy Birthday from black card, then added various stamped sentiments to complete the message. I finished with some black and white twine.

To make the card stand up, I die cut a second balloon, scored it along the left hand side, then trimmed the bottom slightly to give it a straight edge. I added adhesive to the scored edge and stuck it to the back of the shaker balloon.

This one's Ruby Grapefruit, along with a stamped sentiment from Simon's Christmas set.

Here's Princess, with a message from Big Birthday Wishes.

And finally, the Purely Peppermint version.

Sparkly Thank You

Hello.

Today I have a sparkly card to share with you. It features Simon Says Stamp's sweet Bird of Roses die. To make my sparkly bird, I die cut the bird twice - from turquoise and silver glitter card. I carefully removed the turquoise bird from the die so as not to dislodge all the parts, then adhered the silver one on top, adding some tiny silver sequins for extra sparkle.

The sentiment is from Thanks for Being There. I really love this set.

New Colours!

Hello.

Today I have four new colours of Sparkly Shaker Selection available in my shop, plus one new Sequin Mix. Here they are...

First, Princess, a pink and clear mix with lots of iridescent shimmer. This mix also contains some gorgeous clear iridescent cupped flower sequins.

Diamond Ring is a silver and clear iridescent collection of mini sequins and confetti shapes, all smaller than 6mm. It also contains some lovely bugle beads.

The next two are limited edition and only available at my shop.
Bluebell Woods contains 9 different types of sequin, along with pretty coordinating bugle beads and seed beads.

Amethyst is a mix of 8 different sequins, along with clear iridescent dots and both bugle and seed beads in different shades.

And finally, Sparkling Rainbow Sequin Mix - this is a mix of 8mm, 5mm and 3mm clear iridescent rainbow sequins.
