Felt Hugs

Hello!

Did you see the fab new Diecember release from Simon Says Stamp? It's a collection of beautiful steel dies, and I love them ALL. :)

Today I am sharing a card created with a few of the dies. First, I cut some Single Roses from felt and vellum, layered them up and added them to a Stitched Dressed Up Tag die cut from grey paper. I die cut the Painted Hugs from white card, and added to the tag. Finally, I splattered the tag with Calico Shine spray before adhering to a white folded card.

I added a large pearl from my stash to the centre of the flower too. Love the combination of textures...

Sorry for my long absences recently - December is a crazy month. Don't expect a ton from me for a while… Family first, right? :)

Christmas Bear

Hello.

Yesterday I joined in with A Blog Named Hero's 12 Days of Christmas event. I created a Hero Arts card to share on their blog, and thought I'd share it with you too. :) It features one of my favourite Christmas stamps of this year - the Polar Bear. Isn't he majestic. I added him to some pool card stamped with a sentiment from the Merry Stamp & Cut set. I stamped this in black and added some sparkling embossing powder for extra Christmas sparkle. :)

 

I finished the card off with some white mist, tiny stars and stickles.

Heartfelt Thanks

Hello. 

Today I am sharing a peek at a publication I have in the latest issue of Simply Cards and Papercrafts. In this issue I have three floral watercoloured cards featuring yummy Avery Elle and Clearly Besotted stamps. They are all based around a sketch I designed.
And here is one of the cards. I stamped flowers and leaves from Avery Elle's Peonies stamp set onto watercolour card then coloured with my Gansai Tambi paints. I cut them out, and stuck them to some rustic card on which I had white embossed a sentiment from Clearly Besotted's Fancy Sayings set.

 

I finished off the card with a few sequins from my Tinkerbell Shaker Selection.

Shaker Gift Tag… and a winner.

Hello, and a very happy Monday to you. I hope you had a great weekend - I certainly did!

Today I have a tag and photo tutorial over on the Hero Arts blog. It features the sweet Elves by Lia stamp set. Aren't these little guys just adorable?

I added sequins and beads from my Snowdrift and Sparkle and Shine Shaker Selections, MFT patterned paper, and a sentiment from Peace & Joy. TIP - if you add beads as well as sequins, the beads create a sort of hollow behind the acetate which allows the sequins to move about more freely.

Finally, I added a white tag on the back to cover up the stitching and add more messages, all from the Peace & Joy set :)

It's Your Birthday

Hello!

Just dropping by today to share my daughter's birthday card. She turns 4 next week (I cannot BELIEVE it), and I made her something fun and sparkly. 

I decided to use one of Simon Says Stamp's Christmas Cats as my focal point. I die cut a Stitched Circle and Stitched Rectangle from some Pebbles paper, then added a sentiment from Big Birthday Wishes. I added my die cut panel to some Echo Park paper, adding my Tinkerbell Shaker Selection to the window.

The Thickers are old ones from my stash…

I hope she likes it - she's definitely a big fan of shaker cards and sequins and glitter… I cannot wait to help her make her first shaker card… :)
