Simon Says Stamp Create Joy Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to my stop on the Simon Says Stamp Create Joy blog hop.
Today I am honoured to be part of a group of bloggers celebrating Simon Says Stamp's latest release - a fabulous Christmas and holiday collection packed full of gorgeousness.
You should have arrived from Nichol's amazing blog - oh how I love everything she makes… if not, head to the Simon Says Stamp blog to start from the beginning.
--------
I created a clean and simple white on white card for you today featuring the beautiful Christmas Tree die. I cut it from white card, then adhered to a white Stitched Rectangle panel with tiny foam squares. I added various gemstones and pearls over the adhesive, and finished it off with a lovely sentiment from the Big Peace stamp set.

I love the peaceful effect that white on white gives - and with a touch of silver sparkle it is a perfect colour combination for Christmas don't you think?

Poinsettia Shaker

Hello!
Today Simon Says Stamp have revealed their brand new Christmas and holiday collection. The release is called 'Create Joy' and it is made up of gorgeous stamps, dies and stencils. You can see the whole release HERE. I will be sharing lots of cards over the coming few days, but thought I'd start things off with a shaker card created with the Holiday Poinsettia die.
This was such a simple card to make - I die cut the poinsettia from a piece of white card, then cut it again with a Stitched Rectangle. I backed the negative space with acetate, then adhered the centre of the outline poinsettia on top of the acetate with a glue dot. I added a sentiment from Big Scripty Greetings, then added foam tape, some of my Sparkling Coral Shaker Selection, and adhered to some Schoolhouse Red cardstock.

Finally, I added a lovely black Sparklet gemstone over the glue dot on the centre of the flower.

I hope to see you then. :)

Autumn Creatures

Hello.
Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit and I've got a pair of super quick and easy cards to share with you featuring bits and pieces from the kit. There's a lovely Autumn feel to the kit, and one of my favourite things is the sweet set of die cuts from Pebbles Harvest collection. I had to use the animals first… of course. :)
For my first card, I created a simple shaker window with papers from the kit, added some of my Fallen Leaves shaker mix, a sentiment from the kit's stamp set, and the squirrel.

I had to do some stamp surgery to create my sentiment - the original message had rather a Thanksgiving feel, and since we Brits do not celebrate Thanksgiving, I chose to adapt it to make it a more general thank you message.

And my second card - a super simple masculine birthday card. I added a sentiment from Simon's Best Hugs stamp set.

Have a great day, and thanks for visiting.

Let It Snow

Hello!
Just popping in today to share news of a recent publication with you. I have a set of three Christmas cards published in the current issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine. Each of the cards features cute Hero Arts and Lia Griffith stamps along with coloured pencil techniques, and I thought I would share one of them with you today.
For this card, I used the sweet fox stamp from the Woodland set. I stamped him on white card, coloured with Prismacolors, then cut him out. I die cut a Clearly Besotted tag, stamped the sentiment (also from the Woodland set), added some sparkle cord, some trees from the Winter Bears set and my sweet fox.

I covered my trees in Rock Candy Stickles and glitter for a bit of sugar coating. And that fun polka dot paper is from Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss pad.Let It Snow 2 by Lucy Abrams
You can find this magazine on the shelves now. Or alternatively, check it our HERE in the online store.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope your week has started well.
