You're the Best

Hi!
Today I have another card to share that I created with some bits and pieces Simon Says Stamp's October Card Kit. And yes, it's another wiggle eyed one! I am addicted… And this adorable wood donut looks extra cute with eyes, right?
For this card, I added some patterned paper from American Crafts' Polka Dot Party pad and used Mama Elephant's Basic Set dies for the stitched edges. Such a simple and quick card.

Call Me

Hi!
Today is my last guest post for Neat and Tangled. And I've had such fun playing with their sweet stamps and sequins. Today I have a little paper pieced card to share created with stamps from the Just Hello and Sketchy Cupcakes sets, combined with a lovely Mama Elephant tag die and papers from Lawn Fawn.

You know how much I love wiggle eyes… this little telephone NEEDED some. So I masked off the dial, and added a face. :)

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® October Card Kit Blog Hop

Right. Today we are showcasing SSS's newest card kit. If you've followed my blog for a while, you will know that I am a huge fan of their kits. They are always beautifully coordinated, with a fabulous stamp set, cute papers, and lots of embellies. And this month is no exception. There's even a die!!
So I have a couple of cards to share with you created with the kit. First up, a card featuring a couple of the cute wood pieces. I LOVE that coffee pot. (When my 2 year old saw this card she giggled a lot, and said "what's that watering can doing with eyes on?" :) She loves wiggle eyes as much as me!)

And on to my other card…
For this card, I had a bit of fun with the wooden glasses. I coated them in Glossy Accents, added gold glitter, then another layer of Glossy Accents to seal the glitter in.
I created the smiley face with the cute 'hello' stamp, and an upside down number 7 sticker (this is not in the kit). Some wiggle eyes finished it off. :)

A Little Note

Hello!
Today I have my second guest design post up over at Neat and Tangled. My card features the adorable Just Hello stamp set along with patterned papers from Pebbles Special Delivery pad, and the cute Notebook Edge die from Clearly Besotted.

I was inspired to create a cute string of sequins after seeing THIS gorgeous card by Lea Lawson… man she's amazing. :) I used Pink Lemonade sequins from Neat and Tangled. Yummmmmy.

Stenciled Star

Hello, and a very happy Monday to you.
Today I have a card to share that features some of the new Stamptember® products from Simon Says Stamp. Lots of people commented on my blog hop post that they also like to make flat Christmas cards to save on postage. So I created another flat card, inspired by Jocelyn Olson's lovely layering and stitching. She rocks!!
For my card, I used the new Mosaic Stars stencil, and sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink through it. I stamped the word Merry from the Ornaments set, then die cut the word Christmas from silver glitter card using the Christmas Blessings die and stitched it to the stencilled paper. I hand cut the panel, and a few pieces of patterned paper from THIS pad, then stuck them all onto a card that I'd covered with more silver glitter paper.

The glitter paper and stitching add texture meaning you don't really need bulky embellishments.

This kind of card is brilliant for using up old patterned papers sitting in your stash. I always find it hard to use up the more bold designs of patterned papers, but as there is only a small amount of the paper showing, you can be as bold as you want without it detracting from the CAS design.
