Negative space

Hello. I'm here today with a simple card featuring the negative of a die cut butterfly. I used some pretty papers from THIS MME pad, and my favorite stamp from THIS Simon Says set.

It's fun to feature the negative of a die cut every now and then.

Right - off to play with my girl. We have some baby friends coming to visit. Yay.

Sparkle Snowflake

Hello, and happy almost weekend to you.

I have a sparkly Christmas card for you today, created with THIS fab snowflake die by Simon Says Stamp. I cut 3 snowflakes from white card, covered with Stickles then assembled on top of each other, using a tiny glue dot between each layer which I then hid with the pearl. The background was stamped with my favourite background stamp, Snow Dots, and the sentiment is from THIS set. Love that elegant script. The pretty patterned paper is from THIS pad.

Look at all that sparkle...

CARDS publication

Hello. Hope you are having a good week. My little one has started walking - she's managed 15 solo steps so far - it's so fun to watch, especially seeing how pleased she is with herself.

Anyway, I have a card to share today that was featured in August's CARDS magazine. I forgot to share it sooner! There was a problem with this card though... it was published under someone else's name by mistake... but it is definitely mine! :) I made it for the stitching category - and boy did it take a lot of time to do all that stitching. :) But mums are worth a bit of extra effort don't you think ;)

I used patterned paper from MME's Follow Your Heart Be Happy pad, and a journaling card by Lily Bee (love using the reverse of these). The sentiment stamp is from THIS set (I masked off the 'Birth' on 'Birthday', and the flower was made using THIS die. Oh and I used a brad from THIS set.

What could be better...

...than using up scraps. 

I confess, I create a LOT of scraps. And I am pretty bad at using them up. So I am very proud to say that for my card today, I used a leftover scrap of paper from THIS card I made last week. Yay!

A simple strip of printed digital paper, trimmed and stitched, embellished with LOADS of gemstones, and a simple sentiment from THIS Simon Says set (my favourite) and voila, I saved something from the recycling bin! :)

Life Begins...

Happy Friday! It's nearly the weekend. Yay!

I hope your week has been as nice as mine. I brought Lily down to my parents house to make our quarantine more fun, and we've had a great time. She LOVES her grandparents. :)

Anyway, I have a pair of cards to share today, made using Hero Arts new Number Buttons digikit.
First up, a CAS birthday card. I used an image from the Typewritten Digikit, paper from THIS kit, and a simple typed sentiment with the number buttons.

And next, a fun New Year's card, made using some buttons, a sentiment from the Time to Celebrate digikit, and some fun patterned paper from THIS kit which I embellished with some machine stitching.
