Paper Doll

Hi!  Sorry for my long absence - I've been on holiday and there was NO internet connection at all! And no phone, no TV... bliss! ;)
Anyway... so when I was a little girl I used to LOVE paper dolls. I really loved cutting them out, dressing them up, and those sweet little flaps to secure the clothes in place...

So guess how happy I was when I saw Hero Arts latest digikit... a whole Paper Dolls Digikit! I mean how cute can you get???

So I got to it, and made a card I'd have liked to receive as a kid.

I put the doll and clothes into a little acetate pocket that I stitched to the paper. The clothes were all printed onto papers from Echo Park's Sweet Day digikit.

Hi again. 

I'm back with my second Avocado Arts Guest Designer cards!

And here it is... I used the lovely sunflower stamp from the Grateful Season set, stamping it twice on paper from Echo Park's Sweet Day pad, and paper piecing it together. I added lots of twine behind it for fun, then adhered it off the edge of the card. I made the card narrower so that it would still fit in a normal sized envelope.

Mini Makes

Hello!

I've got a non-card project to share, something I created last night while my hubby was out at hockey practice and Lily was sleeping soundly.

The Ribbon Girl have just started selling these Mini Makes kits created by Rose Cottage Kits, and they are A-DOR-A-BLE. I grabbed my Cuttlebug and some dies, and got creating...

The felt, ribbon, buttons, ric rac, floss, key ring and hair clip were all in the kit - AND there's more left over for other projects.

Here's a close up - the felt is really good quality wool felt. Yum.

I think I might put these on cards... the key ring would be great on a New Home card don't you think?

After the success of my last card kits back in February, I have made some more. And as it's heading into Autumn here, I thought I'd make them in three different Autumnal shades.

I have 3 kits available.  Each kit contains enough material to make many cards. :)

Inching By...

Hello everyone. 

I'm Guest Designing for Avocado Arts this month! Yay!

They sent me their FAB September stamp set - Grateful Season - to play with. And it's a cutie. :) Check it out in their shop here.

For my card, I used the adorable worm stamp and a couple of sentiment stamps. I added some stitching, then pierced holes by running the card through my sewing machine unthreaded.

Thinking of You

Hi!

I'm here today with a card I made using some of the fab elements from Simon Says Stamp's September Card kit. 

This is another brilliant kit. For my card, I used some of the pretty papers, and a sweet sentiment from the exclusive stamp set. (So cute!!)

Don't you just love that Kristina Werner font...

The gorgeous lace and sweet heart pearls are from The Ribbon Girl.

I really recommend these card kits - thy have so much in them.  In June, I created a whole stash of cards with their gorgeous July kit (click HERE to see them).
