Prehistoric...

Hey! Hope you are well. 

Britain is celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with an extra holiday today, so I have my husband at home with me. Yay!

AND it's Hero Arts digikit release day. :)

This week's kits are called Prehistoric Fun and Picnic. Today I have a couple of kids' cards made using the Prehistoric Fun kit. And I certainly had fun with it, creating this silly polka dot T-Rex. 

Love that polka paper from Echo Park's Summer Days kit.
And here's my 2nd card...

Some simple paper piecing and stitching here. Fun for a little boy. :)

Ribbony Congrats

OK, there's a new challenge starting on The Ribbon Girl blog today - and the challange is to use ribbon or lace on a card. Easy right. :) So for my card I challenged myself to use 4 different types of ribbon. PLUS twine. AND a charm. All from The Ribbon Girl of course. :)

I started with this gorgeous glittery silver mesh ribbon. Then I layered some sweet pink gingham ribbon over the top. Next, I added bright pink satin ribbon, then I finished it off with two lines of tiny pink ric rac. Love this tiny ric rac. I want EVERY colour :) The sweet key charm and twine completed the card along with a simple sentiment from THIS Papertrey Ink stamp set.

I hope you get a chance to enter this fun challenge. The Ribbon Girl is such a great shop - and they always offer such generous prizes.

Froggy Wishes

Happy Friday to you. :)

I've got another pair of cards to share with you today, both made with the new Magical Birthday digikit.

First - Mr Frog. :) How cute is he with his little froggy crown? I paper pieced him and added gems and goggle eyes for fun. The gorgeous check paper is by Bazzill.  I used Photoshop to cut the star from the end of the wand stamp from the kit, then pasted it into my project lots of times, resizing each one. After printing, I added Stickles to each star.

My second card uses the adorable unicorn stamp. Another girly card. :)

Little Princess

Hello - I hope you are having a good day. I certainly am. My baby girl slept for 11 hours straight followed by another 3 1/2 hours. That's unbelievable. She's been waking 3 or 4 times a night for a long time now, so I am feeling GOOD. :)

Anyway, Hero Arts released three kits this week - Fit for a Princess, Princely, and Magical Birthday - all perfect for cute kids' cards. I have two cards to share made with the Fit for a Princess kit.
First up, a fun shaped card. I printed the image sized at 4 x 4" for this card, layering the image over cute digital papers from Echo Park's Summer Days kit.  I added a sentiment from Calico Borders and hand cut a little flag, sticking it to a cute pin from The Ribbon Girl. (When I give this card, I'll be sure to trim the sharp end off the pin with some wire cutters.) :)

For my other card, I used the sweet fairy image, adding a customised sentiment made using THIS kit and THIS kit.  Some stitching, glitter and jewels finished it off.

So there you have it - two princess cards. :)
I'm off to play with my girl. She makes me so happy. :)
