Floral Thinking of You

Today I have another card to share that uses a stamp from the new Matryoshka digikit.  The sweet floral background is created with this kit - I took the flower stamp, recoloured to sepia, then copied and pasted it repeatedly to create a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" background.  I printed on kraft and added white dots to the centre of the flowers.  I love creating my own background papers in this way. :)

I added a felt flower and a sentiment from Year Round Sentiments.  Pink, white and kraft is such a yummy combination...  Oh, and that gorgeous brad is by My Mind's Eye.  I'm trying not to hoard them too much :)
More to share tomorrow... bye for now.

I printed the square background on some Powder Layering paper for a fun and modern looking evening sky.  The stars are from the sentiment stamp... love them. :)

We Belong Together...

Hello. And happy Tuesday. Today I am featuring one of the three new digikits released by Hero Arts this week.  The three kits are called Matryoshka, The Patterns - Brocade, and The Patterns - Squares.  My card uses the Matryoshka kit.
These dolls are adorable - and I knew immediately that I had to make a card featuring a whole row of them. :)  I just resized the stamp several times and printed onto patterned paper from the Hero Hues range of digi patterned papers.

The sentiment is typed using THIS cute free font. Love finding free fonts. :)
Back tomorrow with more. :)
P.S. I hope some more of you are going to enter my digi challenge sponsored by Hero Arts... Thanks to those who have already played along.
P.P.S.  Head on over to Moxie Fab World to see one of my recently published cards. :)

Aqua and White

Mmmmm. Aqua and white.  How delicious.
These colours make up the new challenge over at The Ribbon Girl.  And I have made a card inspired by the super-talented and sweet Jennifer McGuire.
The GORGEOUS heart card from THIS post by Jennifer made me swoon, and I INSTANTLY went a bought the yummy heart punch she'd used.  She is a TERRIBLE influence on me ;).
For my card, I used Hero Arts new The Patterns - Arches digikit, and mixed it with hearts punched from paper printed with Dot Flower Pool Patterned Paper.  I used a sentiment from the XO stamp set, and added sweet tiny Ric-Rac ribbon as a border for my sentiment strip.

A bit of sewing...

So my mum and I have ben busy making things for my little one.  We both LOVE sewing and pretty fabrics, and can't resist creating little things for Lily.
First up, we made this comfort blanket for her...  Lots of yummy Ribbon Girl ribbons and some gorgeous Moda fabric.

In fact, we were so pleased with ourselves, that we made another 7 in different shades for all the babies in my ante-natal group. :)
Then we made a set of little bibs. I've seen these cute triangular bibs in the shops, but all in bright colours.  I'm a pink and pool kinda girl so it was time to get stitching.  We used terry toweling on the reverse and a bit of velcro at the ends to fasten them.

And finally, mum made a lovely playmat for her too... here she is enjoying it. :)

And because I can't help myself, here are a few more photos.  I'm besotted :)

Get Well Soon

Hi again.
I have another card to share made using Hero Arts new Rough Stripe digikit. For this card, I simply printed the Floral Rough Stripe stamp onto Lilac Layering Paper.  The sweet flowers are from the Daisies stamp which I stamped on white paper, cut and layered up with a matching Floral pearl in the centre of each.

I don't often make purple cards... fun for a change. :)
See you soon.
