New stuff...

Just thought I'd pop in and share a few links to new things I've just bought or am waiting to buy... sharing the love.

First up, a brand new stamp company - Uniko Studio - who have just opened for business.  I've just ordered the 'Time' set which I thought would be fab for masculine cards (I always struggle with those and often end up buying them!!! Horror!!)  And I'm loving the look of those loopy flowers. Can't wait for them to arrive in the mail.  Oh, and my favourite thing about them - they're British.  Love to see great stuff from home.  Visit their blog - they're having a blinkie giveaway. And we all love a giveaway. :)

Next, some yummy new My Mind's Eye.  I've always loved MME - they're my favourite patterned paper company.  I've just ordered some stuff from the Miss Caroline and Follow Your Heart ranges.  These brads... delicious!

I think you can all tell that aqua is my favourite colour. :)  How glad am I that Hero Arts have extended their pool range to include patterned papers, gems and buttons? Answer - VERY glad. :)

I can't wait for THIS new Lily Bee collection to reach the UK.  I'm addicted to their journaling cards at the moment.

And finally, look at these adorable buttons and these yummy flowers from The Ribbon Girl.  I'm getting me some of those... and this charm while I'm at it. :)

Sending LOVE

Hello and happy Valentine's Day to you all. :)

I'm here with a new Hero Arts digi card.  This week they have 4 new kits - 'Postmarks', 'Passport to the World', 'Flower Bicycle',  and 'Destined For'.  My card today uses an image from the awesome Postmarks kit.

I added a sentiment made from Say It (In Pieces) and Swirl Valentine.

A simple card. Just how I like them. :)

Have a great day. No Valentine's dinner for me - my husband has hockey practice and that always comes first. :)  Special dinner tomorrow night instead. Yay!

My clever husband. :)

Look what my husband built.

I had seen THIS amazing thing on Pinterest, and as soon as I showed it to Andy, he started building one for Lily.  Isn't he clever!

See the cute pink hedgehog... I love hedgehogs. :)  Lily's lovely Granny (my lovely mum) bought her this.

Now we need a few more cuddly toys. :) Think I'll have to buy her one a week for the next year or so to fill it!

Digital stamp "kissing" :)

For my final card this wek, I have a softer, sympathy card, made using Hero Arts new Field Flowers digikit.  These flowers are gorgeous - and in the kit they come in both positive and negative versions, perfect for paper piecing. :)
Here, I layered the stamp over a script stamp from the Formes and Lettres digikit. It's like stamp kissing in digi. :)  the sentiment is from Hero Arts With Sympathy stamp set and that gorgeous silk ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl (of course!).

Sending Love

Today I have a pair of cards to share using Hero Arts' new Hello Operator digikit.
First up, a fun Valentine-y card. I added some hearts to the lovely vintage phone image, pairing it with a custom sentiment made using the Say It (In Pieces) digikit.  The cute telephone wire border is also from  the Hello Operator kit.   Some silky crush ribbon and twine finished the card off.

For my next card, I used the cute telephone background, altering it to sepia and printing it onto kraft card with the bigger telephone image and a fun sentiment also from the Say It (In Pieces) kit.  Then I printed the phone image again onto pink card, adding some highlights with a colored pencil.

Another awesome kit - is it just me, or are the digikits getting better and better. :)
