Sketch Week and Inspiration Week Winners

Hello.
Just a quick post to share the winner of my challenge weeks.
First, my sketch week.
There were too many amazing entries - and I couldn't choose a winner... so I used random.org who chose:
Drumroll....
And next, my less popular inspiration week.  (I'll remember next time that you all prefer sketches) ;)
Again, I used random.org, and the winner is
Ladies, can you email me (address at sidebar) and I'll send you a little prize to say thank you.

Lovely Tea Flowers

Hello, and happy weekend to you. Hope you are enjoying it as much as me.
Today I have the last of my "limited supplies" cards - I have now moved almost everything from my studio down into the living room. Whoops. :)
I used the Tea Flower stamp by Hero Arts, and combined it with Picadilly patterned paper.  The sentiment is a mix and match from Hero Arts' Year Round Sentiments and Personal Impressions' Find Joy Everyday set.  Love mixing up my fonts...  The lovely frames are from Hero Arts' Just Because set.

And just because I can't help but share... my baby girl is 7 weeks today.  How time is flying!!

Have a great day - back next week.

Birthday Bloom

Today's card uses the other paper pad I grabbed for my "limited supplies" stash.  It is the Sidewalks collection from October Afternoon. I paired it with some matching flowers and added a sentiment from the new Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments stamp set.

Yellow Flower

Hi again.
I'm back with another of my "limited supplies" cards.
This beautiful Tea Flower stamp is from the Hero Arts 2012 catalog.  I love it.  I combined it with a sentiment from the new Sending You Love set, paper from Basic Grey's Picadilly line, and a Lily Bee journaling card.  I added some seam binding and twine from The Ribbon Girl and a Papertrey Ink button.

Hope you are all well.
I'll be picking winners for my sketch challenges later today... more on that to come. :)

Sending Love

It's about time I posted with a card don't you think... I mean, this blog is called Lucy's Cards, not Lucy's baby / house / sketches. :)
So... given my pretty busy daily routine of nursing / changing / bathing (which takes up an AMAZING amount of time), I have not been able to spend much time in my studio.  So instead, I ran up, grabbed a few supplies, and set up in the living room.  What a great idea - limited supplies really made me think hard! I ended up with kraft card, 2 paper pads, some new Hero Arts stamps, a pack of Lily Bee Journaling Cards, and random ribbon and twine.  No sewing machine... no Cuttlebug... no printer... just a pen and some ink.  LOVED the challenge.
I made a few cards.  Here is the first.  I used lovely papers from Basic Grey's Picadilly line, some cute journaling cards and some Hero Arts stamps - Sending You LoveMy Happy and Frames and Flowers

Back soon with the next of my "limited supplies" cards. :)
P.S.  My little Lily smiled for the first time today.  Very happy!!!!

Inspiration Week - Day 5

Well today's photo inspiration is a hard one... well it would be for me. :)
This is my daughter's playmat. And the colours are certainly vibrant!

I LOVE all the different patterns on this.  THIS digi paper pack is a great match.  And THIS and THIS Hero Arts digikit would work great.  THESE buttons are perfect, as is THIS 12x12 paper.
If you are inspired by the patterns or colours or even the patchwork design, upload your creation below.

Inspiration Week - Day 4

Hello - happy Wednesday to you.
Today's inspiration comes from my living room. I've always loved to organise my books by colour... that must be the designer part of my brain working there. :)

So... this photo makes me think of THIS stamp set, and THIS yummy set of twine.  I love the rainbow colours in THIS digi paper pack and THIS 6 x 6 pad.  Check out THIS fun pack of felt, and THESE gorgeous ribbons available in rainbow colours.  LOVE!!!
So whether you are inspired by the colours, the books, the shelf, the twig effect fairy lights... I want to see it. :)

Inspiration Week - Day 3

Hi! It's day 3... and today's photo is of one of my daughter's new toys...
I love the bold and bright colours and I'd LOVE to see how it inspires you. :)
If I were creating, I'd probably reach for THIS stamp set, although it also made me think of THIS stamp. :)  THESE buttons would make fab eyes, and I love THESE too.  THIS paper is the perfect colour! As is THIS digi paper pack.

Back with more soon.

Back tomorrow with Day 3 of my inspiration week. :)
Oh, and I actually managed to make some cards this weekend! More of that to come...
Bye.

Welcome to day 2 of my inspiration week.  Here is today's photo... something that hangs in my spare room.

This  gorgeous picture makes me think of THIS yummy digi paper pack from Samantha Walker.  I've just bought it and hope to use it in the near future. If I was using this picture as inspiration for a card, I'd probably use THESE Hero Arts stamps (50% off!!!) or THIS stunning Tim Holtz stamp.  Oh, and THESE stamps too. Love them!  I'd have to keep it clean and simple - I'd probably use the picture as a sketch.  I'd want to use THIS and THIS ink, and I might be tempted to add some of THESE.

Inspiration Week - Day 1

OK... I'll admit that I am itching to create a card.  But being with Lily is number one at the moment (and very addictive)... so I'll have to settle with looking at YOUR creations instead.
With that in mind, and given how many of you played along with my sketch week, I thought I'd have an Inspiration Week now.  Each day, I'll post a photo of something in my house (I am, after all, spending a LOT of time in my house at the moment...), and you then make a card inspired by the photo.  My efforts to play along will involve me adding some links to products the photo makes me think of. i.e. what I would have used if I too could play :)
Sound like fun??  There's bound to be a prize for someone too... :)
So on to Day 1's photo:

This pretty shelf in my hallway makes me think of THIS paper from Lily Bee.  Love it.  THIS Hero Arts digikit has some lovely lavender stamps in it.  And THIS is one of my favorite colours of distress ink.  I'd have to add some of THIS or maybe THIS ribbon. Oh, and a couple of THESE...
So, what products does the photo make YOU think of?  I can't wait to see...
