Spooky Owl...

Hi again.  I'm here with my final card for this week's Hero Arts digital releases, and it features a fab owl stamp from the Hello Tree and Friends.

The sentiment and adorable spider are from Hero Arts Frightful set and the orange paper is from Echo Park's Apothecary Digikit... Oh, and the twig is from my garden :)
Hope you've enjoyed the cards I made for this release... I'll be back tomorrow with something new, and there will be more digikit releases next Tuesday. Yay!

Christmas Kisses

Today's card uses a stamp from the new Scattered Leaves Digikit. Love this stamp...  here I've turned it upside down and tried to make it into mistletoe... does it work? Could you tell what it was??

The sentiment is half typed and half from the Words of Love Digikit and that sweet snowflake paper is from Echo Park's All I Want for Christmas Digikit.

Hello Friend

There are two fab new Hero Arts digikits released at twopeas this week - 'Hello Tree and Friends' and 'Scattered Leaves'.  One cute, one sophisticated. :)

And I've had a BALL playing with them.

Today I have a card that uses the Hello Tree kit.  Very simple card - just some paper piecing and stitching (and goggle eyes for fun!)...

That yummy background paper is from a gorgeous new digikit by Zoe Pearn called Indian Summer. Love it.

sitting here... a card and some answers!

It's the start of a new week and I have the day off!!!  Amazing. :)

So I thought I'd share a card, and answer a couple of questions I've been asked recently...

First up, a simple card featuring a fun Doodlebug sticker, cute papers by MME and Bo Bunny, and some sweet ribbon from my stash:

And now for the questions...
I've been asked if I could do a digi tutorial - I've done a few.  If you look along the top of the blog, just under the header, you'll see a 'Tutorials and Videos' page.  Or click HERE.  THIS is a very basic tutorial for beginners, and THIS is a slightly more advanced one.  They should get you started.  Many of my videos have some tips too.
Next question is about finishing and sending cards.  No, I don't put pin caps on pins before I give cards.  I would never give a card with pins on to a child, and I figure adults are sensible enough to notice that they are sharp. :)  That's why I don't tend to hide the pin points.
So if you have any other questions, leave them in the comments and I'll get round to answering them.

Get Well Soon

Hello and happy Sunday.

It's time for a new Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge.  This month, the colours are green and brown...

I made my card using a stamp from Hero Arts Artistic Grapes Digikit.  We have a tradition here in the UK of giving grapes to a sick person... not sure why... is that something you do wherever in the world you are too??  I created the background using the Flourish Background Digikit which I altered to sepia and printed onto kraft.  The sentiment is Papertrey Ink, and the gorgeous ribbon and sweet button are, of course, from The Ribbon Girl.

I hope you get a chance to enter the challenge.  The prizes are awesome - there's even a fab Halloween mini kit up for grabs (look at that CUTE spider charm!!!).

Village Home

Look... another new home card. :)

This one is made with Hero Arts new digikit Village Scene.  I altered the image to an aqua colour and printed onto some new Hero Arts Pool Layering Paper. I created a simple window with my Nesties, then added the sentiment on the inside.  The yummy ribbon and pins are from The Ribbon Girl.

Loved playing with all this week's new kits... just wait til you see next week's lovelies. :)

Key to my Heart

Another of Hero Arts' new digital kits for this week is Keys to the Kingdom.  There are two kits - a Background Kit and a Stamps Kit.

I used both kits for this card, using a sepia version of the background image, copying and pasting it 6 times to make the keys nice and small and then printing it onto kraft.  I typed my own sentiment for this one (lovely free font HERE), and added the big key from the other kit. I inked the edges with Pumice Stone distress ink and added silk ribbon and a yummy heart gem.

Happy New Home

Another of Hero Arts' new digikits this week is Silly Scape and I couldn't wait to play with it.  PLUS, as a real BONUS, it comes with the awesome Clouds background stamp - and I've been waiting for this to go digi for AGES. :)

For this card, I used one and a half Silly Scapes side by side, to make it an extra long scene. :) The sentiment is typed (free font HERE), the arrow is from the Monster Party Digikit and that cute button (that's supposed to be the sun, not, as my husband said, a grapefruit!) is from Papertrey Ink.
